1. Alic Senad:
Graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been working as a teacher at the secondary school Druga Gimnazija since 1996. Training for co-ordinator of CIVITAS project during 1999/2000.
2. Kulka-Dolecka Anna:
I'm twenty two years old and I'm at my fourth year of psychology at the University of Gdansk. Currently I'm working on my master's thesis and I'm trying to explore styles of attachment in intimate relations. I'm mostly interested in people's emotions. I like working with children from whom I've already learnt so much. My conversational English is good and I speak fluent Russian. I'm fond of sport, especially of skiing and fitness. I really love mountains both in summer and in winter. I'm also interested in the influence of a healthy life style on psychological well-being. I enjoy going to the cinema and listening to music, particularly to rock and reggae.
3. Eichelberger Wojciech:
Born in Warsaw in 1944. Ancestors came from Poland (Catholic), Austria (Evangelic) and Romania (Ortodox). Originaly a Catholic but since 1976 a zen practitioner.Vegetarian. Psychologist and psychotherapist (Gestalt and existencial therapy). Author of many popular books on psychology and spirituality. Co-creator of the psychological TV talk show called Okna (Windows), shown on the national network since 1997. Married to Joanna, an inspired artist and teacher, since 1981.Three sons: Jan, 28 (step son), Tomek,17 and Maciek,14. One grand-daughter Zofia,7.
4. Garić Dejan:
Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy (Department of History) at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been teaching history in several secondary schools in Sarajevo; he has been in Katolicki Skolski Centar since 1999. He is interested in art, in particular in music and cinema. He also likes sports.
5. Haller Adam:
40 years old, working with adults and teenagers. Gestalt trainer, therapist and counsellor. Loves music, books, sport and animals.
6. Krstonic Vesna:
Graduated from the University of Novy Sad - Department of English Language and Literature. Since then she has been involved in the sphere of educating young people along with the work on translations. Working as the English teacher at High School in Pozega, Serbia, Vesna has also been involved for years in improving both children's and teachers' position and status in the local community through a variety of activities such as seminars, winter and summer camps, students' and teachers' exchanges, individual help, etc
She registered the NGO "Center for Interactive Participation of Parents and Children in the Process of Educational and Cultural Development in the Local Community" (DR-OK.) through which, together with a group of friends, she succeeded in commencing hard but fruitful work of making young people believe that they are able to fulfil their hidden dreams. She also runs The English Teaching Center and, within its frame, she has organized a debate club for talented children interested in translating and writing. Vesna is 43 and lives in Pozega, Serbia, together with her daughter Iva and her mother.
7. Leżeński Aureliusz:
Founder and creator of a secondary private school with its own copyright programme. A teacher of literature and drama. At present, a trainer and consultant in communication skills for teams and companies. The co-owner of the training company.
8. Niwińska-Lipińska Ewa:
"I have been a teacher of Polish for 22 years, and I am not bored with it at all - I love my work, perhaps even too much. I like my work with young people not just for the teaching of the subject but because I feel I have a real influence on their lives. It is a big responsibility but it is also a joy and can be a source of pride for all the time. I live in Gdansk - a very beautiful city - together with my husband who is an engineer and 2 kids: Leszek who is 22 and Zuzanna who is 19 years old. I listen to many kinds of music: rock, classical music, some jazz, folk and other types, too. I like walking in the mountains with a small back-pack. I also enjoy swimming and riding a bicycle."
9. Pawel Piotrowicz:
I am 19 years old. I have just finished the Bilingual High School No. 3 in Gdynia and passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) exam. I live in the centre of a beautiful city of Gdynia whose history is one of my passions.
I am a contributing editor of several local magazines published by the non-governmental organizations. For three years I have been the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper in which we published not only news but also short stories, essays and polemics (see: www.herold.lonet.gdynia.pl, Polish version only). I participated in several journalistic workshops in Poland and Germany. I am involved in the activities of the local non-governmental organization (The House For Reconciliation and Meetings in Gdansk) which coordinates the international meetings of young people from Belarus, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine. From October 2001 I will be an individual course student of sociology, journalism and economy at the Warsaw University.
10. Szalewska Izabela:
"I'm 37 years old. I have a nine-year-old daughter Veronica. In February this year, I did my Master's degree at the Pedagogy Institute in Warsaw. I also finished a trial period at the STU Theatre in Cracow (as an actress), the college of music as well as a training period in sociotherapy for children and youth. I have got some experience in all of these jobs. I have been collaborating with the Gestalt Institute for three years now and spend every summer holiday with the people working there. At present I work in children's theatre as an actress and I write my own programme of 'Theatre for children, by children'."
11. Wiśniewski Jerzy:
Freelance consultant in education (education policy and planning), and public administration. From 1990 - 1995 he worked as the Head of the International Co-operation Department of the Ministry of National Education. During this time he was a delegate of Poland to the Education Committee of the Council of Europe and the Chairman of the Committee in 1995 - 1996. He was also a head of the Polish delegation to the OECD Education Committee and co-ordinator of the Review of the Polish Education. He played a key role in designing and implementation of the Phare-funded projects supporting the education reform in Poland. In 1996 - 1997 he worked as a Project Manager in the Foundation for Public Administration Development. Then he held the positions of the Director General at the Ministry of National Education. As the head of the civil service of the Ministry, he played a key role in launching the reform of the education system. From 1999 he works (on the short term contracts) as an education consultant and Adviser to the Managing Board of WSIP (the biggest textbook publisher in Poland) on strategy and development, and as an expert working on accreditation of teacher training and financing of school education in Poland (Phare framework contract) and consultant on staff development programmes to the governmental and regional administrations in Poland. He was also serving as a member of the OECD team on review of the educational system in Lithuania.
12. Zaleski Marcin:
