At the Foundation there was established Young Talents Help Fund of Jolanta and Aleksander Kwasniewscy.
The idea of creating the Fund arose from the conviction that in Poland, even though many of the institutions support the development of young talents, still too many talented people we lose forever. They do not find sufficient care and support to develop their talents. The Fund offers them financial and substantive help. Especially those whose families can not afford to finance the development of a gifted child.
Fund's Scholarships are awarded annually to children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 years, who are particularly distinctive and talented in various directions: musically, artistically, mathematically, or humanistic.
The specially appointed Board of the Fund, which judges sent applications, consists of experts from the fields of science, art and culture: Danuta Raczko – President and Elizabeth Karnafel, prof. Ryszard Łukaszewicz, Gabriel Miłkowska-Moląg, Janusz Olejniczak, Wlodzimierz Paszynski and prof. Henryk Samsonowicz.
The Council of the Fund, as the criteria of selecting grantees takes into account the evaluation of the potential abilities of a candidate, his talents, achievements, activities for environment, financial situation and place of residence (in terms of accessibility to knowledge). Among the grantees are often people with disabilities, whether from small towns and villages where the cultivation of their talents, usually turns out to be much more difficult than in large cities.
Members of the Board judge candidates for scholarships basing on the completed special questionnaires. Questionnaires are sent annually to all boards of education, and then all the interested individuals may receive them.
Scholarships are handed by a Presidential pair in Warsaw during the November celebration of the Independence Day.
