European Institute of Women’s Health – European Institute for Women's Health (EIWH) is a non-governmental organization established in 1996 to promote gender equality in the area of public health, research and social policy in Europe.
EIWH Activities focus on efforts to improve the physical and mental health of women.
EIWH works closely with the European Commission, EU member states and the World Health Organisation to introduce gender equality issues primarily related to the area of public health.
The authority that supports EIWH is European Advisory Council – The European Advisory Committee (EAC), consisting of organizations and individuals specializing in health policy, particularly in women's health issues.
The President of the Foundation, Jolanta Kwasniewska, is a member of the European Advisory Committee and a Patron of the European Institute of Women's Health.
