Trip to Jordan, Egypt and Israel.
22 children, half-orphans and orphans of the dead pilots and the policemen from whole Poland, took part in the exciting journey to Jordan, Egypt and Israel.
Trip took place on 16-24 May, 2009. Tour program mainly followed in the footsteps of the Holy Father, who was in Jordan and Israel just a week earlier. We have provided a lot of attractions for children, including a visit to Amman and biblical sites in Jordan, visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and unforgettable submarine tour by coral reefs, visit the Dead Sea area, and many other attractions. Trip was organized through the courtesy and assistance of: Mr. Anawar Kadri from TFB Co. Ltd, Office in Jordan, Tobya Boutique Hotel in Egypt, Orbit Tours in Jordan, Heritage Tours from Israel and Alfa Star from Radom.
Trip for 27 children - orphans selected by the Mining Families Association to Jordan.
In 2007, according to the program „Let’s open the world to children”, Foundation organizes a trip for 27 children – orphans selected by the Mining Families Association to Jordan. Trip participants were children whose fathers – miners, died during the recent mining disasters, especially in Halemba. Kids spent the week between 07 and 14 July exploring Amman, Petra, Agab, Ailoun, Jerash, Bethany, and also went to the Dead Sea.
Help for children of miners who died tragically.
According to the tragic death of 23 miners in coal mine accident in Halemba in Ruda Slaska, Jolanta Kwasniewska’s Foundation „Communication Without Barriers” with the Jan Karski Institute for Tolerance and Dialogue of Maryland declared to organize after the end of the school year 2006/2007, two-week trip to the USA for children who have lost their fathers in that tragic day. Trip took place according to the program “Let’s open the world to children”. In 2006, children who lost parents in the building catastrophe in Katowice went on a wonderful trip to the USA.
Children from the Foundation visited the United States for the seventh time.
The Foundation sent a group of 16 children on two-week trip to the United States according to program „Let’s open the world to children” for the seventh time. Trip was organized in collaboration with the Jan Karski Institute in Maryland, USA. This time, the trip involved children whose parents died during the construction disaster which happened at the Pigeons Fair in Katowice. During an exciting trip, children visited New York, Washington and Buffalo. In New York, they lived in a dormitory school of Fellician College in New Jersey. They saw Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and Madame Tussaud. In Washington, children stayed in the luxurious Marriott Wardman Hotel. They visited the White House, Congress, Airlington Cemetery, and visited the headquarters of the first USA President in Mount Vernon. Children also spent three days in Buffalo, where they had the opportunity to see Niagara Falls.
Children Trip to Gotland.
On 21 August this year in Gdansk, Mrs. Jolanta Kwaśniewska said goodbye to a group of more than 50 children suffering from cancer. Children went by Polish ferry on a few days trip to Gotland. For the tenth time, this trip was organized by Foundation “Communication without Barriers” according to one of its programs „Let’s open the world to children”. Young tourists realized very attractive program under doctors and nurses supervision. Children visited the island and its main city of Visby, saw Pipi Langstrumph house and went cycling by the very picturesque sea landscape. In their way back, they visited Stockholm.
"Let’s open the world to children" – the sixth trip to the U.S.
Group of twenty five children whose fathers died during their duties took another trip to the United States at the invitation of the American Center of Polish Culture in Washington. As usual, the program of their stay was extremely attractive. Children saw the most interesting places in New York and Washington. They spent the whole day in the biggest water park – Six Flags. The big event was their four-day stay in Texas. Organizer and a wonderful guide was priest Franciszek from the parish Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio. Children were visiting city in a very attractive way. They travelled by boat on the river that flows through the center of San Antonio and they admired the extraordinary beauty of this city. The next day, they spent the whole afternoon with cowboys on the ranch. They rode horses and watched the daily work. They also visited locations which have Polish names, such as Czestochowa, Panna Maria. They learnt the history of the first Polish settlers, who before one hundred and fifty years ago, came to Texas. It was very interesting travel and full of experience.
Second trip to Slovenia.
Group of twenty five children particularly wronged by fate this time hosted in a picturesque mountain town of Bovec at the invitation of the Honorary Consul of Poland in New Gorycy in Slovenia. During this visit, children participated in attractive package tours to the mountains to Kozlov i Tolmińska. They sailed a boat on the Soca River and admired the beautiful scenery. They also spent all day in the seaside town of Piran. In the free time, they participated in sports. The program of their stay was extremely varied. All participants brought home a lot of unforgettable experiences.
First trip to Slovenia.
Group of twenty five children particularly wronged by fate hosted on 4-12.09.2004 in an international retreat Debeli Rtic at the invitation of KRKA company. The organizers provided a very attractive program of stay: the participants had an opportunity to visit a very beautiful Postojna cave. They sailed by boat to Piran. There were also teenagers from other countries in that resort. In the evenings, there were held meetings during which various groups of young people presented their countries. Children enjoyed swimming in the sea and swimming pool, playing football, volleyball, and wall climbing. During their stay, participants have established many close friendships.
The fifth trip to the USA
Group of twenty five children whose fathers died on duty on 11.07 – 26.07.2004 was on a wonderful trip to the USA. During that trip, children visited New York city, they saw the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park and many other interesting places. They also visited Washinghton, Buffalo, Niagara Falls. They sailed on the Potomac River to the beautiful Alexandria. They were warmly greeted at picnics organized by the Polish community. For the fifth time, this fantastic trip was organized by the American Center of Polish Culture in Washington.
There were also held six-week trips abroad (EGYPT, CYPRUS, HELSINKI, USA, cruise, ”Sail to Europe’’.
530 children participated in the trips. During the voyage „Sail to Europe”, which was organized in collaboration with captain Krzysztof Baranowski and the Promotion and Publicity Office “Thomas Gottie’’ from Cracov attended nearly 300 high school students, who have sailed on the Baltic Sea by ,,Pogoria’’, ,,Frederic Chopin’’ and ,,Lady B’’, during their holiday.
There were also organized 13 weekly trips abroad (USA, Sweden, Gotland, Tunisia, Greece, Morocco) and some national trips to Miedzyzdroje, for example.
454 children participated in the trips. On one of the travels, children under the care of Warsaw TPD, used 20 places on the yearlong English course in Warsaw which was sponsored by a local language school and given to the Foundation. 20 children went on one week cruise on Baltic Sea by sailing boat „Frederic Chopin’’ while 40 high school learners from Jelenia Góra and Lodz participated in a cruise on Mazury.
In 2001, on the program „Let’s open the world to children” there were organized eight week trips abroad (Spain, Vatican, Hungary, USA, Italy, Sweden, Gotland, Tunisia) and five national (Bochnia, Świeradów Spa, Pieczyska). To sum up, 510 children took part in thirteen trips.
In 2000, according to the program „Let’s open the world to children” there were organized six week trips abroad (Morocco, Crete, Tunisia, USA, Cyprus, Sweden, and Gotland), and several national: Bochnia twice, Świeradów Spa, Nowosądecki. At the invitation of the Foundation in Koscielisko, 35 children from Tunisia were hosted. In 13 trips, 460 children participated.
In 1999, accodring to the program „Let’s open the world to Children”, seven week trips abroad were organized (Crete, Austria, Tunisia twice, Egypt, Denmark) and two national trips: Bircza in Bieszczady and Świeradów Spa. To sum up, 340 children participated on these trips.
In 1998, according to the program „Let’s open the world to children” there were organized 5 week trips abroad (Tunisia twice, Greece, Cyprus, Sweden). 300 children took part in these trips.
In 1997, according to the program „Let’s Open world to children” trips abroad to the United Arab Emirates, Austria and Cyprus have been organized. For one participant of Deaf Cruise ATLANTIC’97 scholarship of 3.800,00 zł was founded.
